Format:

Two groups, with four Round SWISS Pairing, 2 games per round, time control 5 mins each (no increment). Games are not rated.

Rules:

Following USCF rules for blitz which include touch move; taking king wins (no requirement to announce check); insufficient material to win when opponent's flag falls is a draw.

Groupings:

20 players maximum. Entrants split in to two groups A and B, with higher rated players placed in to Group A.

Schedule:

In-Person Registration Closes: 9:30am

Entrants should confirm present by 9:45am (spots will be re-allocated otherwise)

Round 1: 10:00 - 10:20

Round 2: 10:30 - 10:50

Round 3:  11:00 - 11:20

Round 4:  11:30 - 11:50

Spots will be made free if players do not announce present at or before 9:45am. Plan to arrive early given streets closed to traffic and bus route (39) ends at Jackson Square.
