We have opened up the on-line registration for our February Fischer Randon Rapid 5-round SWISS tournament. The tournament will take place on February 13, 2025 from 6:30pm until 9:20pm. The time control will be 10 minutes with a 5 seconds delay. On-line registration will close on February 12th at noon and priority is given to Thursday night regulars. We expect to be able to host 22 entrants, with potentially 6 more depending on physical space.
Fischer Random is a chess variant where the starting position of pieces on the back rows vary with some constraints. This throws deep opening prep out of the window. To play Fischer Random it is important to know how to castle. There are plenty of videos on YouTube which can explain the process.
