JP Chess was founded July 22, 2021 to bring together players who live in or near Jamaica Plain, Boston, MA. We welcome players from all backgrounds, ratings, and ages.  For more info on our organizers and membership numbers.

 

We meet in person in Jamaica Plain, outside when weather permits during the summer months. Look at our Events page for details of club nights, tournaments and special events. At present we are meeting every Thursday 6:00pm to 9:00pm at J.P. Licks on Centre Street, Jamaica Plain. 

 

We do not charge any fees but rely on donations to pay for expenses such as chess equipment, website fees and USCF affiliate membership. Further details on our financials and donors can be found on our Donate page.
