Founded on July 22, 2021, J.P. Chess unites players residing in or near Jamaica Plain, Boston, MA. Our inclusive community welcomes individuals of all backgrounds, ratings, and ages. See our website for detailed information about our organizers and membership numbers.

In-Person Gatherings:

Join us in person in Jamaica Plain, with outdoor meetings during the summer months when weather permits. Explore our Events page for details on club nights, tournaments, and special events. Currently, we gather every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at J.P. Licks on Centre Street, Jamaica Plain.

No Membership Fees:

We operate on a donation basis to cover expenses like chess equipment, website fees, and USCF affiliate membership. For transparency, financial details and donor information can be found on our Donate page.
